Chinese AI Infra Startup SiliconFlow Raises Nearly $14M in Angel+ Round

Beijing — AI startup SiliconFlow (硅基流动) has secured nearly 100 million yuan (approximately $14 million) in an angel+ funding round. The round was led by a prominent industry investor, with participation from Zhipu AI, 360, and the Tsinghua Water Wood Alumni Fund. Existing shareholder Marvel Capital continued to overweight follow-on investment, with华兴资本 (Huaxing Capital) serving as the sole financial advisor.

Founder Yuan Jinhui: From "Rollercoaster" to New Journey

SiliconFlow's founder and CEO Yuan Jinhui is a veteran in the AI field. In a previous interview, he described the past year as "like a rollercoaster"—his startup underwent multiple mergers and acquisitions within months, growing from a $100 million company to $1 billion, then $10 billion, before being spun off for a fresh start.

Expressing gratitude for the new funding, Yuan stated: "We are deeply grateful for the trust and support from all investors. This funding will help us accelerate product innovation, provide accessible AI cloud services for developers, promote the prosperity of the AI application layer, and drive AGI democratization."

AI Infrastructure: The Underestimated Key Track

The AI infrastructure (AI Infra) sector where SiliconFlow operates has gradually attracted capital attention in recent years. Unlike large model companies, AI Infra companies focus on providing underlying capabilities for AI developers—including computing scheduling, model deployment, and development tools.

With the booming development of open-source AI model ecosystems, more developers need convenient ways to use and deploy AI models. SiliconFlow targets this demand by offering "out-of-the-box" AI cloud services, reducing the technical barriers and costs of AI development.

Investment Logic: Industrial Capital Layouts AI Ecosystem

Notably, this round introduced multiple industrial capitals—Zhipu AI and 360—meaning SiliconFlow not only secured funding but also gained industrial resources and ecosystem synergy.

Zhipu AI's investment in SiliconFlow is seen as an important move to complete its AI ecosystem layout. 360's participation demonstrates the security vendor's focus on AI infrastructure.

Industry analysts point out that in 2026, AI investment focus is shifting from "foundation models" to "application landing and infrastructure." As AI technology gradually matures, how to efficiently and cost-effectively deploy and apply AI models has become a key concern for enterprises and developers, bringing tremendous market opportunities for AI Infra companies.
