Anthropic's New Funding Round Exceeds $13 Billion: Multiple Institutions Chase, Valuation May Exceed $350 Billion

Silicon Valley — Multiple sources say AI startup Anthropic is about to complete a new funding round, with committed capital already exceeding the $10 billion the company originally hoped to raise. The total round may exceed 130 billion yuan, with valuation potentially exceeding $350 billion.

Star-Studded Investor Lineup

This round's lead investors are Coatue Management and GIC, each expected to invest approximately $1.5 billion. Iconiq Capital is also expected to become a major investor, planning to invest $1 billion or more.

Iconiq led Anthropic's previous funding round in September 2025, when the valuation was about half the potential new valuation. In addition, Lightspeed Venture Partners, Menlo Ventures, and Sequoia Capital are also expected to participate in this round.

One of Largest AI Industry Fundraises

If completed, this would be one of the largest fundraising rounds in the AI industry on record. As one of the fastest-growing tech companies in history, Anthropic has shown remarkable fundraising momentum and valuation growth.

In March 2024, Anthropic completed a $3.5 billion funding round at a $61.5 billion valuation; in September of the same year, it smoothly completed a $13 billion Series F round, with valuation jumping to $183 billion.

IPO Expectations Rise

Anthropic is expected to complete its IPO in 2026. This round is considered its last private funding round before going public. With the funding completed, Anthropic's valuation will continue to climb in preparation for listing.

Industry analysis believes Anthropic's high valuation reflects market recognition of its technological strength and commercial prospects. The Claude series has been a major competitor to OpenAI's GPT series, and continued funding will help the company stay competitive in the AI race.
